Vikhar Ahmed Sayeed
Vikhar Ahmed Sayeed, correspondent of Frontline in Bengaluru and Tabassum Barnagarwala of Indian Express, Mumbai, received the special awards for the best article category by the Press Institute of India-International Committee of the Red Cross (PII-ICRC) for the 12th edition of the award. They were among 12 journalists and press photographers who were conferred the awards this year. The award’s focus this year was on the theme ‘Changing lives through innovation in health and sanitation’. The awards were handed over to the journalists in Chennai on September 21, by Tamil Nadu Health Secretary J. Radhakrishnan and Jeremy England, Head of the ICRC, regional delegation.
