Zaibudeen A.W., and John Philip, scientists at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic research (IGCAR) at Kalpakkam (Tamil Nadu) have developed whereby body temperature could seen rather than being read over a thermometer. In a study published in the journal, Optical Materials, the two scientists have described the concept in which ferrofluid emulsion contained in a thin film changes colour with rise in temperature within a narrow range of 30 to 40 degree Celsius.
