Reflections on Education

Fasting is Part of the Indian Culture
An Appeal to Human Rights Organisations
Letters to Editor

Across India there are many madrasas. It is said that in many madrasas, the system of education is woefully inadequate and that they fail to deliver the education to children that could help them to build a bright future. If we compare students of regular schools with those of madrasas, the former often fare far better than the latter in terms of intellect, healthy lifestyle, hygiene and personality.
Islam puts great emphasis on knowledge and education. The knowledge we acquire can only be beneficial if we implement it in our life and if act on it for helping us in the Hereafter, too. This requires that students should have both spiritual knowledge and nurturing as well as knowledge about the world.
