Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Wakf Foundation for Women Development (KSWFWD) has been reconstituted with the following being appointed members: Salma Taj, Bengaluru; Farhana Taj, Ramanagram; Afzalunnisa, Ramanagram; Gulnaz Begum, Chikkballapur; Sakeena D. Patil, Kalburgi; Raziya Begum, Koppla; Shireen Taj A. Shaikh, Haveri. Besides Secretary to Govt Dept. of Minority Welfare; Principal Secretary, Hajj and Awkaf; Chief Executive Offers, Karnataka Board of Awkaf; Principal Secretary, Dept of Finance, Govt. of Karnataka will also be members of the Foundation by dint of their official positions. The first meeting of the reconstituted committee of the Foundation was held on March 31 with Tanweer Sait, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education presiding over the meeting. The committee decided to financially assist NGOs which are taking care of the destitute old women and enrolling subscribers for Govt. Yeshaswani Health Scheme. (By A Staff Writer)
