You know about the state of Gujarat, more so now because our current Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi comes from this State. But Gujrat (minus the middle ‘a’) is a city in Pakistan’s province of Punjab on the river Chenab. According to General Cunningham, the British historian, Gujrat was founded by Raja Bachhan Pal Gurjar in 460 BC. The city of Gujrat is known for its industries manufacturing electric fans.
