Hyderabad: Telangana Home Minister Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali recently inaugurated an international seminar on the Quran and an International Quran Exhibition organized by the Consulate of Iran in Hyderabad at the Salar Jung Museum. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Home Minister said “Quranic teachings are the need of the hour.” He exhorted the community to work towards achieving peace at all strata and donating in charity for helping the underprivileged. He said the Muslim downfall was due to the eventual estrangement and distancing from Quran and the teachings of the Prophet.

Research scholars from Iran and India discussed various aspects of Quranic teachings. A variety of artworks were on display at the exhibition, which also featured more than 100 rare artworks showcasing Islamic calligraphy and rare manuscripts.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Government of Iran H.E. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hadi Fiqhizadeh, the Consul General of Iran, Hyderabad Muhammed Haqbin Ghomi, and the Director of the Salar Jung Museum were also present on this occasion.
