Istanbul: The Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) based in Istanbul is organising an International Exhibition of Prayer Carpets (Jainamaz) in Kuwait between 29 December 2013 and 9 January 2014. Artisans working on prayer rugs are being invited from around the world to display their art and artworks, informs a press note from Nazieh Marouf from IRCICA. The artisans will bring their looms, tools and raw material for display of the making technique, it added.
