Abdul Hameed Faran has been unanimously elected the zonal president of the Welfare Party of India in Karnataka. The election was held on July 20 in Bengaluru in the presence of national president of the Welfare Party Dr. Qasim Rasool Ilyas. Hameed Faran is chairman of the Faran Group of educational institution in Kalburgi (previously Gulbarga.)
